"Team Fat used to throw our band equipment into a van, put on our cowboy clothes, and crash trade shows. We had enough friends in the business that somebody would always let us set up in their booth and play surf instrumental music. This was pre-9/11, so security was a lot looser. I guess you'd call it a Flash Mob or a Pop-Up or something, but we didn't have that vocabulary, we were just having fun and bringing the best noises we could to the games. I don't remember if this performance was from a CES show, or if we were playing it in our 'ranch' in Leander, TX, but I did bump it up a bit with some applause stolen from one of my favorite records."
